Just keep angled towards threats, put yourself where you can help your team most, pick your targets so you reduce the numbers of enemy ships as fast as possible and either push or delay the enemy as the situation demands. But just make sure you learn to play the previous tier before jumping up and you should be goldenĪssuming you continually improve your gameplay and knowledge about game mechanics and ships, there's nothing wrong with playing higher tier ships the moment you unlock them as you play naturally. Then again, it's also true that you only learn to play high tiers by playing high tiers. You might unlock the next ship in the line but always think twice before instantly selling the old one and hopping up a tier, do you feel like you're actually contributing? Do you feel like you know what you are doing in that ship? If your average damage is under 25-30k chances are you still have a lot to learn at the mid tiers. 1-4 are really only there to just be there, get a bunch of tier 5's and 6's to drive around in and go from there, step by step up at your own pace.

But if there's anything WoT has taught me is that you learn the game in the mid tiers.

Tier 6 is highest I've gotten and tier 6 is already higher than what I'm capable of comfortably playing cruisers in. I'm rather comfortable taking my Amagi out for a spin or hopping into my Yugumo even though neither are even fully upgraded, knowing I'm probably not hindering my team even with less than 1000 battles under my belt, but in cruisers I suck, and I know it. No one can say for certain, it depends entirely on you.
